The 2014 Wilderness Showcase Kiosk Project Grantee

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act and to underscore the need for volunteer stewards to care for wilderness, the National Wilderness Stewardship Alliance partnered with the U.S. Forest Service in 2014 to create the Wilderness Showcase Kiosk Project.

The project made small grants (up to $5,000) to NWSA partner groups to engage youth and local volunteers to build a kiosk on nearby public land and raise awareness of the value and special needs of wilderness.  The following partner groups were awarded grants.

  • Arizona Wilderness Coalition
  • Student Conservation Association
